A $50 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied toward your total service fee at checkout.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund of your deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may apply the deposit toward a rescheduled session.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or no-shows will forfeit the deposit, and the full service fee will be charged.
We understand that unexpected circumstances arise. These policies ensure that appointment times remain available for clients in need of care.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to accommodate the next appointment. The full session fee will still apply. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to allow time to check in and settle before your session begins.
Client Conduct & Health Disclosure
Massage therapy is a professional therapeutic service. Inappropriate behavior, language, or advances will result in immediate termination of the session and full payment will be required.
Clients are expected to disclose relevant health information prior to treatment. This allows us to customize your session safely and effectively. If you are feeling unwell, have a fever, or have been exposed to a contagious illness, please contact us to reschedule your appointment.
What to Expect
At Integrative Touch Bodywork, our goal is to create a calm, supportive environment where you can relax and receive the focused care your body needs. Whether this is your first massage or part of your regular wellness routine, here’s what you can expect from your visit.
Before Your Session
You’ll begin by completing a brief intake form to share any relevant health history, areas of concern, or treatment goals. Your therapist will review this information with you and discuss what you’d like to focus on during your session. This collaborative approach ensures that every treatment is tailored specifically to your needs.
During Your Session
Your comfort is our priority. You’ll be given privacy to disrobe to your comfort level and will be properly draped throughout your session. Communication is encouraged—please let your therapist know if you’d like adjustments to pressure, temperature, or positioning at any time.
Whether your session focuses on relaxation, recovery, or pain relief, the goal is to support your body’s natural healing process and promote overall balance.
After Your Session
Following your massage, you’ll have a few moments to rest before getting up. Your therapist may offer personalized recommendations to extend the benefits of your treatment—such as hydration, gentle movement, or self-care techniques.
You may experience mild muscle soreness or a deep sense of relaxation for a short time after your session; both are normal signs that your body is responding to therapeutic work.
Preparing for Your Appointment
At Integrative Touch Bodywork, we want every session to be comfortable, restorative, and effective. A little preparation can help you get the most out of your experience.
Before You Arrive
- Hydrate: Drink plenty of water before and after your session to support circulation and muscle recovery.
- Avoid heavy meals or alcohol right before your appointment. A light snack is fine if you need energy.
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in, complete any necessary forms, and settle into a relaxed state before your session begins.
- Wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to change out of, and avoid applying heavy lotions or oils beforehand.
Health Considerations
If you’re feeling unwell, have a fever, or are recovering from illness or surgery, please contact us before your appointment to determine if rescheduling is appropriate. Open communication helps us keep your treatment safe and effective.
After Your Session
Take time to rest, drink water, and notice how your body feels over the next 24 hours. Gentle stretching, a warm bath, or light movement can help extend the benefits of your treatment.
After Your Massage
Your session at Integrative Touch Bodywork doesn’t end when you leave the treatment room. Massage therapy continues to benefit the body for hours—even days—after your appointment.
Here’s how to support your body’s recovery and maximize your results:
Hydration
Drink plenty of water following your session. Massage encourages circulation and lymphatic movement, which helps release metabolic waste from your muscles. Staying hydrated helps your body flush out those toxins and prevent soreness.
Rest
Give your body time to integrate the work. Light stretching or gentle movement is fine, but avoid strenuous exercise immediately afterward. Prioritize rest and let your muscles settle into their new state of balance.
Listen to Your Body
Mild tenderness or fatigue can occur as your body adjusts to the changes created by massage. This is temporary and should resolve within a day or two. If you experience discomfort, apply a warm compress or take a soothing bath with Epsom salts.
Self-Care Between Sessions
Maintain your results with good hydration, regular movement, and mindful posture. Your therapist may recommend stretches or self-massage techniques tailored to your needs.
Scheduling Follow-Up Care
Regular bodywork supports long-term wellness. Ask about a personalized treatment plan to help you maintain relief, manage stress, or address specific concerns over time.
Follow-Up Care
At Integrative Touch Bodywork, our commitment to your wellness extends beyond your appointment. Follow-up care is designed to help you build on the progress made during your session and continue supporting your body’s healing process.
Your Personalized Plan
After each session, your therapist may suggest:
- Specific stretches or mobility exercises to target problem areas
- Recommendations for session frequency based on your goals
- Guidance on ergonomics, posture, or recovery techniques When to Schedule Your Next Session
- For stress management: Every 4–6 weeks helps maintain relaxation and balance.
- For chronic tension or pain relief: Every 2–3 weeks may be most effective until symptoms improve.
- For recovery or maintenance: A monthly or seasonal session can help prevent tension from returning.
Ongoing Communication
We encourage open dialogue about how your body responds after treatment. Sharing feedback allows us to adjust your care plan and ensure each session supports your evolving wellness goals.
Wellness Tips
Wellness is a daily practice. Integrating small, mindful habits into your routine can make a big difference in how you feel and move. Here are a few ways to support your body between visits:
- Stay hydrated. Water helps flush out metabolic waste released during massage and supports muscle recovery.
- Move mindfully. Gentle stretching or walking encourages circulation and helps maintain flexibility
- Prioritize rest. Quality sleep allows your body to heal and repair — an essential part of any wellness routine.
- Practice good posture. Adjust your workspace or daily habits to reduce unnecessary strain on muscles and joints.
- Listen to your body. Pain, stiffness, or fatigue are signals that your body needs attention. Don’t ignore them — schedule maintenance care as needed.
- Breathe deeply. Mindful breathing helps reduce stress and tension throughout the body.
Consistency is key. Pairing regular bodywork with intentional self-care helps you maintain balance, manage stress, and stay connected to your health goals.
